Brain Injuries
One of the most devastating injuries a person can suffer is a brain injury because it is the type of injury that a person is the least likely to recover from. Persons with brain injuries have their lives, and the lives of their family members, turned upside down. Common results of brain injuries are changes in personality, memory loss, loss of senses, loss of equilibrium or balance, speech difficulties and loss of motor skills. More severe brain injuries can literally shut down the consciousness of the victim (a vegetative state) or can cause death.
To assume that the effects of a brain injury will be immediately noticeable would be incorrect. In many, changes in personality, severe mood changes etc. occur well after the brain injury. Many brain injuries are permanent leaving victims to simply deal with their disability with no hope of true recovery.
At the Thompson Law Firm we help brain damage victims and their families obtain compensation for their losses and suffering they have, and will, endure. While these resources may never serve to fully restore what our clients have lost, they can help them to the best that medical science has to offer and to live more comfortable lives.
